Your family information stays under your control.

HeritagePath uses FamilySearch OAuth, so credentials are entered only on FamilySearch. Access tokens remain in temporary server memory and are never placed in browser storage.

Authenticated pages are marked not to be cached. Signing out removes the local session and asks FamilySearch to invalidate the token. Sessions are also lost when the service restarts.

Tree information is fetched only for the page you request. It is not stored in a HeritagePath database, sold, used for advertising, or shared with data brokers.
